I just got this band and it feels thinner and kinda flimsy as compared to some of my other ones. Did they change the manufacturing process or use a different material?

No I am pretty sure it’s on a yellow base.
Any word as to whether or not it has unique lights and sound when used?
It will not. Only Limited Edition bands have special effects. This is a Limited Release band instead.
Is there a Haunted Mansion band that has special effects?

Yes, this change was made about a year ago. All new bands are thinner. They feel much more comfortable on the wrist.
