The Finding Dory Limited Edition 3500 MagicBand does have special effects at entry touch points only. The lights turn blue and white and the sounds (which can be hard to hear, so turn up your volume) are of water bubbles popping. This specific video was filmed at Hollywood Studios thanks to reader Andrew B.

While it’s nice to have bands that make lights/sounds at all four parks, I’m truly disappointed that the recent wave of LE bands only have effects at entry points and not FP points. I like my band to create magic all day long!
Guess I’ll just have to keep using my older, park-specific bands to keep the FastPass fun rolling! I hope they keep working for a long time.
Thanks for the video!
I agree. I was really hoping the Dory band would be Animal Kingdom specific, because that is the only park that I don’t have a band that makes FP+ lights/sounds.
I’m with you on that. When it was first reported they were on sale at the Dino Institute I thought that AK finally got one. They missed a few chances to do so with either Finding Dory or the Jungle Book.
Agreed!
Does the dory band make noise at Epcot?
Yes, see here: https://www.magicbandcollectors.com/extras/fp-videos/
what band was this?
Also I would like to know if you can hear the sound from this band at Epcot or do they have their sound turned off? Thanks
I have no idea. It depends on the specific entry touch point you are at. Some have sounds on, some don’t.
Hi Ethan, Are the DVC 25th Anniversary Magic Bands available for purchase inside any of the Parks or at the resorts? Also, are there special DVC anniversary magic band sliders for 25th anniversary?
Thank you – I enjoy reading your website!
Hi Maur, some may be available in the parks still but I’m pretty sure most are sold out now. No sliders were available.
