Walt Disney World vs. Disneyland: MagicBand+

Today is the day! While MagicBand+ officially launches on October 26th at the Disneyland Resort (DLR), it is available beginning today for Magic Key (Annual Pass) Holders, Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Members and Cast Members. With that in mind, we thought it would be a good idea to explain the differences in how the MagicBand+ technology currently works at both locations including Walt Disney World (WDW) and Disney’s Beach Resorts (DBR, collectively Disney’s Vero Beach and Hilon Head Island Resorts).

  • DLR: MagicBand+ is linked to a specific ticket entitlement rather than a profile. Due to this, the MagicBand+ can be transferred between users however the ticket entitlement itself is non-transferable and must be used by the Guest that initially used it.
