Despite some information that appeared on shopDisney stating that the new Limited Release Stitch Crashes Disney series of MagicBands would be in boxes, we have an update confirming that this series of MagicBands will instead be on a new themed cardboard backing. This is also a change from last year’s Minnie Mouse: Main Attraction series which were all in boxes. The Stitch Crashes Disney MagicBands will still retail at $34.99 (the minimum cost of a band in a box). The backing is themed as a filmstrip representing the many films Stitch will “crash” in this new series.
The shopDisney item page did seem to be a copy and paste from a Dooney & Bourke MagicBand so it was always possible that it had initially stated some misinformation. These MagicBands were recently available through MerchPass on shopDisney and should be available at Disney Springs very soon according to the Disney Parks Blog.
