Tonight (November 1st, 2014) I was able to pick up the new 2014 Christmas open edition MagicBand featuring Mickey and Minnie on one side, and Tinker Bell and Cinderella’s Castle on the other. I got mine at Big Top Souvenirs (across from the Dumbo ride) in the Magic Kingdom. I am unsure at this time where else this band is or will be available, but I was told that it could be in all four parks at some point but don’t hold me to that until I get confirmation.
A Cast Member mistakenly sold these to me as “link it later”, which come to find out at Guest Relations the next day they were not supposed to be sold to me that way. All graphic bands must be linked at the time of purchase, so if a Cast Member tells you otherwise, please just have them link it immediately to your account to save you from a lot of hassle.
I bought this and on the box it now says limited release and on the band its self

I am at both the Swan and Dolphin right now and both have MANY of the Christmas bands but none of any Limited Release sticker on them… So I am confused as to what you are seeing.
Are you sure you didn’t buy a different band?
