2016 Epcot Flower & Garden Festival LE 2500 MagicBand announced with Figment

The Disney Parks Blog today showed off a new unboxing video and included in the video was a preview of the new 2016 Epcot Flower & Garden Festival Limited Edition MagicBand! This is limited to 2500 total, and because it’s Limited Edition, it should make some type of lights and sounds at entry and/or FastPass+ touch points in Epcot. This will retail for $32.99 and is being released on March 2nd, 2016.

One interesting thing to note… This year they are only making 2500 of these which, unlike last year, had 5000 and still sold out before the end of the festival. Of course that was with the super popular Frozen Fever design at the time, but I still see 2500 going rather quickly.

Here’s a preview from the My Disney Experience website:

  1. Looks more like a drawing than their typical graphics bands.
    ?Maybe a prototype?

If not, maybe they are going for more of their retro stuff again.

Either way, it does not really get the “Flower and Garden” theme across to me very well.
Sure there is a flower, I give them that….and is that a topiary Mickey?

What does the other side look like?

Not to be negative, but definitely not up to what I would expect for Disney and one of its several months long event.

  2. I love it! More “movement” and use of foreground/background than a lot of the bands. But I’m a Figment fan, so I’m biased. Can’t wait to see what the lights & sounds are!

  3. How much is gonna cost?
And will this magic band do anything special with the green light when used to get in the park, or fastpass ride?

    • Hi Gleilson, it says this info right in the article. $32.99. This is limited to 2500 total, and because it’s Limited Edition, it should make some type of lights and sounds at entry and/or FastPass+ touch points in Epcot.
