New set of five Limited Release Star Wars On Demand MagicBands out today

The next set of five Limited Release Star Wars On Demand MagicBands came out today, July 1st, 2016. They will be on sale until July 31st, 2016. The Limited Release graphic on the On Demand touch screen station has been updated to be inside of a Death Star icon.

The previous 5-band sets, as I posted about here, were released on June 1st and June 15th, and the June 1st set is now retired and no longer available for sale as of today. If you want the June 15th set you better hurry as you now have less than 14 days to go get them!

These MagicBand designs are going to be extremely rare due to their 30-day limited nature. You can find them in Hollywood Studios at the Star Wars Launch Bay gift shop. I’m expecting another new 5-band set to be released on July 15th, August 1st, and August 15th as well, and will update the site when new designs come out.

    • No, open edition and limited release do not have special lights or sounds or as Disney calls it “surprise and delight”. Only the limited edition have those special surprises.

Limited release is simply a design that is made for a limited period of time. They can continue to order more within and sell within that appropriate time period.

Limited editions are those that are made of a limited number. They can’t be re-ordered. Once they are gone, they are gone.
