Disney has quietly announced on shopDisney.com (at the bottom of the page) that new MagicBand Slap Bracelets are coming November 12th, 2019. From the picture, it appears these bracelets are themed and hold a MagicBand icon (or puck) in a small circular area. The picture shows an Orange Bird and a Frozen themed bracelet. The icon holder itself is also themed with a special plastic mold.
We’ll have to see how this new concept plays out. What is the cost? Will these eventually replace MagicBands? How secure are they? Do they come with the icon included, or do you need to buy that separately? Can the icon holder slide off the bracelet and be used on smart watched? I’ll have more details on hopefully some of these questions on the 12th.
