ACE touch points in Pandora: The World of Avatar make new sounds

May 21, 2017 | Filed under: FP+, MagicBands and tagged with: fastpass, fp+, magicband, magicbands, touch point

Pandora: The World of Avatar opens May 27th, 2017 in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and I have been fortunate enough to preview the area a few times. During my visit I was able to test the new ACE (Alpha Centauri Expeditions) touch points that are installed in the FastPass areas of the new rides. These are similar to the Mickey touch points everywhere else in Walt Disney World, they just look slightly different. These new ACE points now make a new standard sound vs. the standard sound the Mickey points make.

Here is the ACE touch point. At the beginning of this video when I first touch the MagicBand, you will hear the new standard sound. Ignore the blue light and “bink bink” sound, as that just means I don’t have a valid FastPass for that ride:

And here is a video of standard Mickey touch point sounds that someone (not me) posted on YouTube:

Owner and founder of MagicBand Collectors, it is my goal to catalog and archive the entire history of the Disney MagicBand. It's also a hobby of mine to own and maintain the rarest private collection of bands. I also pride myself on keeping this site non-profit. I don't work for Disney nor am I associated with them in any way, besides being a mega-fan and living 5 minutes from Walt Disney World with my wife and two kids.
